Help hosting a contest

So I feel like hosting a time attack challenge in sonic adventure 1 with a reward of a downloadable vmu file (it's not a save but it is a good reward, I wont say what it is YET as to not spoil the rewards, rewards for leaderboard numbers will be posted when challenge is up) how do I make a leaderboard rankings for time attack on a specific level on the sonic adventure homepage world rankings (so players can use the sa1 browser and upload their times)

Well what I would do is get in contact with the owners of the site (Which I think is Xiden?). Then request permission for that contest to be hosted.

Ok allow me to explain : see I realized awhile ago I started making an amy chao (as close as possible) in sa2. I also have knux and tails made via specific stats, evolutions and animal parts. First contest I'm planning is for the amy chao (or the tails one, sa1 speedrunners still voting) Very basic contest : beat twinkle park as knux the fastest (top 3 would earn amy chao sent via gmail, itd be .dci, or a retroarch vmu bin file with chao adventure 2 and amy chao along with instructions to put it on vmu or emulator. The contest isnt ready just yet but the sa1 speedrun community is excited (ik it is a bit odd for rewards to be for sa2 when it's a sa1 contest)

And before someone asks yes knux can be in twinkle park via a glitch and CAN be completed, when you exit stage and turn game off and back on your save will say last level was twinkle park as knuckles done in station square. You know the rest involving making send data

Also Dan (this sites admin) hasnt posted in a LONG TIME.
I doubt the owner is xiden cuz he is registered in 2017, there are users registered in 2015, so idk

So I'm thinking, instead of using glitches and stuff, let's just use Sonic.

Perhaps we can use a similar point system to that of the original SA1 contests from 20 years ago, your time gives you a certain number of points, and whoever ends up with the most points wins

Or we can decide with whoever has the most 1st places

Alternatively, we can decide by separating the characters into their own categories. Individual contests for the Tails, Knuckles and Amy chao by playing as those characters, ensuring the possibility one person doesn't win them all

(As for Dan, I think he has a Dreamcast-talk profile, go looking for him over there, if you can't just go ahead and host it anyway I guess, he probably won't be here to stop us, plus this place doesn't actually have any rules anyway)

Seems like a good idea, tho the knux in twinkle park is gonna be for tails this time cuz the community voted it, as for hosting it how do I setup leaderboards

In all seriousness, I think you have to set up a website that we can send our VMU info to, the issue is 1: time verification and 2: how we are even gonna get the time without it being some DLC, if you don't know how to code for Adventure, I guess you're outta luck unless you can find someone who knows how.

We might be doomed to have to distribute the Chao files without having a contest...

How do I send the .dci file (oh yeah you might need to download it then import to redream the dreamcast emulator or download it on pc to transfer to vmu)
