Think it looks pretty good, like sonic 3 and knuckles very nice, but i dont get why people were talking about it as much as they were, twitter was abuzz for a few days, i mean yeah its a sonic collection but couldnt you already buy the games? idk im not really too hardcore of a sonic fan so i shouldnt be the one to talk about my opinions of these things.
Also whats the deal with the pricing model, ive been hearing people complaining about it but i dont really understand, is it like a deluxe edition that is the only version with sonic cd or something?

@P1B1 Sonic Origins sparked such a buzz because of what it's bringing to the table. It's adding loads of new features to the original games, such as cutscenes and a story mode which aims to tie all games together into one cohesive narrative. Beyond that, it's also featuring the full Sonic 3 & Knuckles experience, major news because that game hardly gets rereleased and is well known for being in legal limbo due to Michael Jackson. It's even being lead by the team that made Sonic Mania.

It stirred a controversy due to the revelation that all the original Classic Sonic ports on Steam, mobile, etc will be delisted May 20th. This decision pissed people off and made Sonic Origins look like a huge scam, furthermore, because some projects (EX: Sonic 3 AIR) required the Sonic 3 & Knuckles ROM to function, now Sonic 3 AIR can only be played with ROMs downloaded illegally.

As long as it has the original Sonic 3 Music I'm happy. I'm glad they got Christian whitehead back on board at Sega. They need to keep him hired there for future projects.

Actually what music did Jackson do for 3? Ive heard about that before and that it caused a lot of legal trouble down the road, but Im curious as to what songs he did for the game.

hehehehehe what do you think the chances are that theyll be re releasing sonic 4 anytime soon. Honestly how the hell was that game even created by sega themselves it looks like a flash game and that might be giving it too much credit

Carnival Night, Ice Cap (albeit Ice Cap was made by someone he worked with rather than himself) and Sonic 3 alone's credits spring to mind

Come to think of it, it's bullshit the GLORIOUS Sonic 4 wasn't included. Fuck Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic 4 is the REAL best Sonic game.

God damnit pip. I was somewhat beginning to agree that sonic 4 was better than mania, but this is too far!!!

SONIC 3 AND KNUCKLES

Knuckles and Tails have different paths, changing up the level meaning there are truly 70 acts in total.
Multiple playable characters
Actually good tails assist (And somewhat broken tails assist)
