Dreampipe hosts any openly distributed Dreamcast servers. Hosted by a dedicated linux server with plenty of RAM and frequent software restarts to ensure a reliable server, and on a server quality internet connection to ensure the best possible pings

It is recommended to use the popular servers. These are here for a backup in case of sudden server crash. Giving hope to a party unpooped

Servers:
Maximum Pool: Download VMU file in the Online section of main site

Quake 3 Arena: On Dreamcast-Talk and Online Consoles masterlists. Use DNS in the Online section

Toy Racer: 23.92.76.195 Port 2048

Planet Ring - Put Dreaamcast IP address into a DMZ, or mostly everything will not function correctly. Still trying to obtain a patch disc, but you can PM me for a link to an auto-connect disc

If you experience any issues on the servers, reply to this post

Maximum Pool server connection file was updated today to have both Dreamcast-Talk and Dreampipe servers on the server list. I will add OnlineConsoles' pool room to the list when I hear back from LordNikon over there

Dreampipe IRC server is up. I'll be adding links to the main portal tomorrow. The link for PlanetWeb is pwchat://irc.dreampipe.net:6667/#dreamcast

I will probably hang out in there a lot from console in a second monitor. I think I have to configure the users online status bar

This will probably replace the phpmychat I have. No logins or anything. If a bunch of people eventually start using all of this from console. It could be very cool

Yes the IRC server works flawlessly

I will probably be logged in there a lot on a second monitor. So it'd be cool to see others do the same

Hi all, I have a question that I hope you can help me. Since month ago I have been looking for a Maximum Pool Room Server but I have not found nothing, except the original web Pauth but is now closing. Anyone can tell me where I can find this software? Or if anyone can send me a copy I will appreciate a lot. I'm very interested in online dreamcast software. I hope you can help me. Greetings And We see us on dreamarena :) :)

I'd be glad to send you the software. I'll even add your server to the save file on Dreampipe :D When you setup the server, make sure you put "Russia/Russian/RU" somewhere in the name. RU players will have nice latency

I'll send it within the next few days, the files are on the server and I don't have a local copy. It willbe sent to the e-mail you used on Dreampipe

i'm writing this from a chu chu rocket browser. I tested the chu chu rocket server and OMG!!! it's awesome. I thought that I would never play this game. it's a pity that I couldn't play with other players. I will wait to next party.

Greeting to everybody

:)

Keep dreaming...

Hey man, that's awesome. I haven't gotten the chance to play with others either, was busy when PC hosted his event. You can join the Skype group in the Online section of main site, and there's usually always people online. 63 people in there now myself included

I haven't forgotten about the server files either. I was going to wait until i did the last bit of testing for the Planet Ring server, since the desktop server session is unstable for some reason. So when I got on to test i would send your files. I'll send them within the next day or so

Also, you're a dev from the Earthcall server right? Is there any plans to utilize the Raspberry Pi to allow PC-DC/DreamPi users to use the microphone? That'd be really cool

No problem. I can wait.

About earthcall server, I'm collaborating with neoblast and indiket. All I know is that they have a little program to use microphone, but don't work perfect. The voip is in the roadmap but not is a priority as far as I know, but you can write to ask them. They will inform better than me.

I just sent the server files. Let me know here if it works without any issues. I'll make a thread here with a link to the software. So others don't have the same issue of finding it. I had to dig through the internet archive to find it

yes, thank you so much, it's fantastic. I will test the server locally, because I'm interested to learn how works dreamcast with online games. If I can get a pc I will try to install a dedicated server.

Dan, I'm very thankful, if you need help on something (testing, web, etc) and I can help you, count on me.

Cheers.

No problem. I'll make a new thread later so others can download. Let me know the server IP when you get it running and I'll add it to the save file on the main site

It's up to you if you want to help with stuff. But if you want to help, I have most of the logistics figured out for restoring the ranking uploads to Sonic Adventure 1. I have the frontend up for awhile at sonic.dreampipe.net. I just need a developer who wants to create a new CGI script to parse the ranking upload data to a page. I even have a backup of the original page that all of the rankings were uploaded to. That would be really cool for the rest of the community and would add a very large amount of play value to SA1 again. Because you can access Dreampipe and the IRC server it would be better than when Sega originally did it, at least in my opinion

If you're interested in discussing that further, add danevans27e on Skype. If not I understand

I added you, I don't have any idea about how is composed the ranking file, or how to parse it, but if you have some info, I can try to create a cgi script
