Sonic 2 movie discussion thread! *SPOILERS*

Now that Sonic 2 has come out worldwide, it's time for a discussion thread!

Personally, I thought it was a good film, whether it beats the first one or not is still up in the air for me. It still bugs me that they don't use Sonic music during the movie, really wished to hear Be Cool, Be Wild, Be Groovy during the snowboarding section, or Throw It All Away for the post credits (we'll get to that later).

Sonic and Tails' relationship is sweet, but at the same time feels a tad rushed. Oh, and the Master Emerald actually being the Chaos Emeralds mixed together is a creative liberty I'm personally OK with, but that does mean we probably won't be seeing Hyper Sonic ever, unless they decide to bring back the Chaos Rings. Speaking of Hyper Sonic, the Super Sonic reveal was amazing, but also amusing when you consider how tiny the Chaos Emeralds are now.

SHADOW THE HEDGEHOG!!!!!

I didn't think they'd actually go down the SA2 route, but boy I was proven wrong. Aside from the third film finally being confirmed to be about Shadow and Sonic, I'm interested in seeing how they change the story. Since GUN was created to just catch Sonic for the most part, I wonder what Shadow's backstory is going to be and how it'll differ. My theory is that Shadow was created for Maria and stuff, but for whatever reason Gerald's funding was cut, causing him to create the Space Colony ARK, but getting executed before that could happen. I expect the third film to be about the cast trying to stop the Colony from going into space, and at the end Shadow has a change of heart thanks to Sonic, finishing off with Super Sonic and Super Shadow stopping the ARK from destroying the Earth (or universe).

Felt a bit more like a sonic movie instead of just the rocky and bullwinkle movie with sonic slapped on top of it. Jim Carrey was funny and does a perfect job as eggman, again. Since hes probably done with acting after this maybe we can see Chaos or some other villain as the main one in the next movie.

yeah, the only thing I think could have been better was maybe they could have had more scenes with sonic & tails

to make them feel more like friends

the intro does feel a bit rushed but other than that i loved 9.5 out of 10!
