I personally think it's really good! I like that there is new concept art we hadn't seen until now, and that the remasters are finally on consoles. My only gripes with it is the Tails AI glitch in Sonic 2 where he doesn't despawn correctly sometimes and jumps forever, the music in Sonic 3 sometimes being more muffled than other tracks, and the Drop Dash in Sonic 1/2 being worse than the emulated SEGA AGES versions of the same games. Other than that, it is essentially a modern-day Sonic Jam. This and Mega Collection are great for people trying to get into the Sonic series for the first time! 8/10.
Yo what up

After a week or two, I've finally decided to write something about Sonic Origins.

It's garbage. Genuinely seen better sides of beef been run over by a combine. Okay, maybe not THAT bad, but it's still a mess. Biggest complaints are the physics, especially in Sonic 3, not working right. Biggest example is a barrel that crushes you in Carnival Night by just running into it fast enough. In the original, Sonic would've been stopped by it before getting crushed.

Other complaints include the music fluctuating between being muffled and quiet to strangely loud, the game crashing a lot especially on lower end devices, and music tracks in the museum being mislabeled.

All in all, a very poor experience for die-hard Sonic fans, but all right for the average consumer.

Personally I loved Origins. Sonic 2 on Genesis was my favorite game growing up, and the remasters and upgrades were good enough for me.

I grinded a lot of top Tails times on the leaderboards and had a good time. Can't wait to do Amy leaderboards too.

The new addition of the 12 game gear games is a huge plus to me as well, I was just recently complaining about how hard it is to play them legally

10/0 Actually good sonic product
