I mean, this is a inferior version of SA2 if we compare it with Battle, and there's still people talking in the forums...

On a superior console
Better controls (analogue isnt restricted to 8 directions)

Personally I just prefer playing on a dreamcast :)

Why do you say SA2 (DC) has better physics than SA2 Battle? I've played both quite extensively, and while they feel a little bit different, I've never thought it never felt like a different/modified physics engine.

I still prefer SA2 on Dreamcast, but that's due to little things (lighting/sound changes, personal preference of the DC over the GC, etc.).

Do you say the physics are different based on your experience in how they play/feel, or do you have external reasons for saying the physics are different?
