Potential Fix for SA1 PAL players trying to upload records!

I’ve just managed to upload a new record to the Reebok Leaderboards using Dreamkey!

Since the VMI data contains unencrypted HTML, I was able to hex edit the following using Dream Explorer:

Changed all instances of “sonic.games.dreamcast.com” to “sonic1.dreampipe.net” (This fixes the parameter issue in Dreamkey)

Changed the BGSOUND parameter from “sonicadv/*filenamehere*.adx” to “sonicad/*filenamehere*.adx” (Due to the main folder’s name being modified in PAL copies, music cannot be heard in the browser. This only fixes the music not playing with the VMI’s HTML.)

World Rankings and Chao Data should be able to be fixed this way as well, but I haven’t tested the Send Data file yet!

UPDATE: I can confirm that this fix works on Chao, Event and Data Upload VMI files!

Going to re-iterate now that US copies of the game don’t have any of these problems! This fix is only for the PAL versions.

That fix is over the sonic adventure disc image? I think that it can be useful to avoid the parameters problem.

No, the fix with the Chao/Data/Event Upload VMS file that the game generates with the Y+A combo. It literally contains HTML with the URL so editing it to point to the Dreampipe site will work.

You can’t edit any of the files on the SA1 disc with Dream Explorer
