SA Custom DLC Idea's (What Would You Like To See)

With the first custom DLC for SA and how Sonic now was able to be in the past mystic ruins. It makes me wonder what other characters could be in stages they were never in or if there could even be new events maybe like Sonic's birthday or even a event to celebrate a new Sonic game. And I was thinking if stuff could even be added to the game like unused content. What are some idea's you have?

I would like to see Shadow from SA2 as a DLC for SA1. And i would really like it if he would have his own story, just like the other chracters. However, i understand that this can be tricky to work-in.

Considering the Dreamcast's limitations...

Maybe a DLC that enables Super Sonic for regular level use?

I'm assuming with events you're just thinking the DC launch party style events with posters and balloons and other trinkets around the world

Personally I've had the idea of Modern Sonic's boost as a potential DLC ability. I never imagined it as really blazing fast though, just reaching Sonic's top spindash speed so it'll work on DC.

Would it be possible to have a new holiday DLC? Or maybe have the Halloween DLC in a different stage. I think a good stage for Halloween decorations would be in the 2nd part of Red Mountain or the whole stage. I know in PSO for Easter they have Samba De Amigo's music "Carnaval" play and usually Rappy's but in Sonic Adventure we can have Chao's around Station Square and maybe just have Chao music play. That would be pretty cool

So seeing as how I actually found sega's DLC creator I can tell you only 1 custom music track and 1 fully 3d model that isnt flat can be added per DLC, and only one DLC can be acttive in game at a time. the several things you see in TP on halloween dlc are flat models that use 2d textures plastered on a square. I can however send any character to any stage and add these objects anywhere if I can figure out how to work the placement system (it is VERY awkward)

Knuckles in Icecap would be cool. It would be fun snowboarding with him

Knuckles can be in icecap but cant snowboard as theres no code to allow for it at all

That's a shame, considering he's gonna be snowboarding in the movie and that's only a few days away from this post.

However, if we can't do that, do you think we can make a special event file similar to the Dreamcast Launch Party DLCs? If I'm correct, Dbrikashabuksha is using PkR's DLC maker, the same programme that was used to make the Tikal Challenge DLC. That DLC has custom posters around Station Square, which means it might be possible to make a DLC advertising the Sonic 2 movie.

If you're looking to find a place to host the file, the Dreampipe Team might be willing enough to host it, there hasn't been much in the way of DLC lately, so it could be worth a shot. If you're interested, Dbrikashabuksha, I'll get in touch on DC-Talk to iron out some other small details.

Yes pip its possible but I can barely se the item placement system, I might work on it but theres also music and textures using ancient file types

Its a shame Knuckles can't be fully in IceCap. I was thinking what if we made a new Christmas event. Maybe we can have that event in Emerald Coast and I don't know if its possible but have it were its night time in Emerald Coast and have the music Dream Bells from "Christmas Nights Into Dreams" play. And there could be signs around the stage saying "Merry Christmas & Have A Happy New Year" Or If you can make the text say "Thanks For Playing Sonic Adventure After 23 Years"

@Dbrikashabuksha Have you tried contacting PkR about your issues? They made the Tikal DLC, it's highly likely they have some sort of info on the item placement system, coordinates, dealing with ancient file types etc.

Pip two things 1. spam in other chats I dont want other people knowing about that YET and 2. I am currently using the sa1GC level editor to view coordinates as the coords are the same in both games
