DLC : What do you want

READ THE FOLLOWING BEFORE POSTING
I cannot add characters. There are 2 unused characters but I can only limit dlc to activating if you use one of them, I cant force load them
Super sonic isnt possible as its the level that activates him (unless by some way I break the game and figure out how)
Custom levels ARE possbile, but limited in way such as spikes one shotting you

Actually Ive had that idea for a while now. Aparently Final Egg was supposed to have 4 acts, not 3. DSo Ill keep the original 3 mostly the same, but at the end, you get sent to act 4, which is EXTREMELY hard. IF PkR can figure out how to add multiple pointers, that is, enemies can be added.

Would it be possible to add textures? I think a reskin of a level or character could be cool. I also like the fanmade dlc that was put out with tikal

Has any progress been made in modding this game on DC? I've never heard of SA mods on DC, so I'd love to be made aware of any that exist or are in active development.

I think most mods are for the pc game only. The modding tools on pc will let you edit and rip Dreamcast stuff but there is no easy way to load stuff on Dreamcast with out building a custom game disk as far as im aware. The Tikal custom dlc is the only thing ive seen made and released for Dreamcast but i would love to see more custom Dreamcast stuff or learn how to make it lol

I gave up after being unable to easily get coordinates.

Ther was a custom dlc made recently (Tikals Challenge) and I do have the program that can make it. It DOES work on dreamcast once you load the dlc into the vmu (either through putting the file in via pc, or having the dreamcast install it on a web browser) It cant do AS MUCH as pc mods but it can do quite a bit.

I think it would be really neat to add Red Rings to levels like there are in some of the Boost games. It'd provide a neat new way to play levels I've already played a hundred times, especially if they're well hidden and not just on the main path. I could even see it being fun to run around levels as Big looking for the things (his Emerald Coast level in particular comes to mind).

Lucky for you the way the dlc is set up , that could be done. You only get one custom model and can place multiple collectibles of that object over multiple stages on the same dlc timer to keep track of how many you have collected and are left.

Is that something anyone here knows how to do?

Im trying to learn ,not sure whats a good site though to use that could host custom dlc and be linked here that a Dreamcast could still read and save :( the https really kills a lot of sites from being seen by the Dreamcast.

would be fun to share silly stuff like dlc thats only purpose to decorate stuff. Like a pool toy in the pool ,it adds nothing but takes up memory card space though cool to see something. Lol
