What's your fav memory of PSO? Mine would have to be the first time i got online in around 2012 when i first got my BBA. loggin on for the first time was such a amazing experince seing all those people. They where so nice and showed me the ropes for a few hours. While my original save is long gone and i cant remember their names i will always be thankful to them. Posting from Planet web ver 2 on a Real dial up connection

Back in the day, when I used to play on the official SEGA Dreamcast PSO servers, SEGA would have its mods/community liaisons interact directly with the fans in the PSO game's lobbies. These were sometimes for promotional purposes, but they were mostly for community building.

One of the things the liaisons would do is have trivia competitions. Whoever would get the most questions right during the 30 minutes would win a prize, usually a recent Dreamcast game of their choice.

I was a bit irked during this one time when I had participated. Yes, I had lost, but that's not what had me irritated. You see, the winner, who was a major Dreamcast fan, already had almost all of the Dreamcast games at that point including the newest releases. So instead of another game, he asked if he could instead win a Broadband Adapter. The SEGA representative said he would ask, and a moment later he replied that he got approval. Well, that annoyed me and many other PSO players in the lobby because the BBA's at the time were much sought after and cost $60, which was $10 more than the average new Dreamcast game's price of $50. Had I known that SEGA would be willing to distribute hardware such as BBA's as prizes, I would have put a lot more effort into trying to win!
